Our Journey to the Warm Heart of Africa

Moni! We are Katie, Rebecca, Jacqueline, Caitlin and Sharon and are third year BA Primary Education Students from the University of Strathclyde. We are embarking on an adventure together where we will explore, research and learn about the education system in Malawi, whilst supporting and helping the children and families in the schools that we visit. On our return we will use these experiences to inform our own teaching practices. This blog will hopefully take you on this journey with us.

Time to come home!

Last night we celebrated our last night in Malawi and sat and discussed our highlights and to say there has been many is an understatement!

We also celebrated Monica's birthday and hoped she enjoyed spending it with us.

To end our visit we joined the MLOL's in a quiz night and laughed, sang and danced!

We are all very sad to be leaving but we cannot wait to share our experiences with you all.
